Temporarily Closed

The City of South Charleston is closely monitoring the status of the COVID-19 virus. City officals are working closley together and are making decisions based on the health and safety of our community. At this time, the SC Memorial Ice Arena and the Eagles Nest Restaurant will remain closed. Only the Health Club at the South Charleston Community Center will reopen May 18 until further notice.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to improve social distancing and decrease access to high touch surfaces, the City has closed its outdoor basketball courts, playgrounds, park restrooms, and discontinued taking shelter reservations for dates before the Memorial Day weekend. The South Charleston Community Center (The Health Club reopens May 18) and the South Charleston Public Library remain closed until further notice. The South Charleston Public Library has numerous materials available online here.

All city parks remain open for hiking, walking, and enjoying nature with appropriate social distance. The City continues to operate essential services of Police, Fire and Public Works on a regular schedule, while practicing personal protective measures.

Please note that the City offers an on-line payment option for the Municipal Service Fee. You can find your individual code to create your account on the billing statement (left hand side of the bill about 2/3 of the way down). The website is https://southcharleston.secure.munibilling.com
